JSG is seeking a System Engineer to help support our IT delivery team. This is a critical role for JSG and will support our US and Canadian operation. The System Engineer will report to our CIO and can be located in our HQ in Westmont, IL or in Burlington, ON.
This role is paying $80-90K based on experience.

System Engineer

Job Description
JSG is seeking a System Engineer to help support our IT delivery team. This is a critical role for JSG and will support our US and Canadian operation. The System Engineer will report to our CIO and can be located in our HQ in Westmont, IL or in Burlington, ON.
This role is paying $80-90K based on experience.
System Engineer Objectives and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure and Systems Support

Provide advanced support for VMware virtualization and Windows Server environments.

Administer and maintain Microsoft Office 365, including security configurations.
-
Manage VLAN configurations and support Meraki switches and firewalls.

Provide system-level support for Microsoft SQL Server (not database administration).

Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

Support and manage RADIUS server and related certificate infrastructure.

Administer Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.

Support the Azure environment, including identity and access integration.

Administer Veeam Backup and recovery operations.

Work with CIO on SOPs and SOC2 policy documentation
Technology Adoption & Infrastructure Projects

Learn and provide support for Dell VxRail hyperconverged infrastructure.

Assist with the deployment and support of core IT technologies within JSG’s hybrid IT environment.

Participate in planning, testing, and implementation of IT infrastructure upgrades and new technologies.
System Engineer skills and qualifications:
-
Proven working experience in a Senior level IT position or relevant experience.
-
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information security, cybersecurity, cloud security (o365 & Azure), information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

Hands-on experience with networks, network administration and network installation
-
7+ years of experience in IT systems
-
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.

Strong creative and analytical thinking
Preferred skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science

Professional certifications
